Industrial First Aid Training

LIHS is Recognised First Aid Training Institute by Directorate of Industrial Safety & Health Govt. of Maharashtra, Vide order No. 7 Dated 17th November, 2016

Industrial First Aid Training is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches participants critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives.

Participants learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. This course also teaches adult CPR and AED use.

Intended Audience

This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion certificate in first aid, CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements.  Persons assigned to respond to emergencies in the workplace or community as well as those who want to learn first aid, CPR and AED skills. Some rescuers are required to take this course as part of their employer’s efforts to comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, Industries e.g., corporate employees, security guards, airline personnel, lifeguards and other individuals who want or need first aid training.

Training Covers

At the end of the First Aid Training participants  will be able to:

  • List the priorities, roles, and responsibilities of first aid rescuers
  • Describe the key steps in first aid
  • Remove protective gloves
  • Find the problem
  • Describe the assessment and first aid actions for the following life-threatening conditions: heart attack, difficulty breathing, choking, severe bleeding, shock, and stroke
  • Use an epinephrine pen
  • Control bleeding and bandaging
  • Describe how high-quality CPR improves survival
  • Explain the concepts of the Chain of Survival
  • Recognize when someone needs CPR
  • Perform high-quality CPR for an adult
  • Describe how to perform CPR with help from others
  • Give effective breaths by using mouth-to-mouth or a mask for all age groups
  • Demonstrate how to use an AED on an adult
  • Describe when and how to help a choking adult or child

Training Duration: Three Day Days

Certificate Validity: Three Years
