General Duty Assistant (GDA)

The objective of the program is to develop a pool of trained workforce which can be employed by healthcare service providers to assist nursing personnel to provide quality healthcare services. This course is geared and prepared to reach students with no previous experience in healthcare and who are desirous to work in a healthcare facility on completion of Patient Care Assistant/General Duty Assistant (PCA/GDA). This program focuses on the acquisition of skills necessary to assume an auxiliary role in the care of patients under the direct supervision of a trained healthcare provider.

10th Pass

DURATION: 

2 Months
The faculty of LIHS is drawn from highly experienced medical professionals who are certified instructors of American Heart Association, International Trauma Life support and Advance Trauma Life support courses. Master Trainers Certified by HSSC / TISS.

COURSE CONTENT:

  • Identify the role and responsibilities of the PCA within the health care system.
  • Understand theoretical knowledge necessary in providing services.
  • Communicate accurately and appropriately in the role of PCA.
  • Demonstrate professional and personal qualities and characteristics of a PCA.
  • Demonstrate the ability to function as a PCA under the supervision of qualified personal.
